If your people are oppressed and you are not not making a contribution to end the sufferings of your people, by your very act of inaction, you are against your people. There is no middle ground.
Below are some tips and ideas on how you can get involved and support Slavery Remembrance along with some reasons why.
Whether it’s your valuable time or your hard earned money, there are many reasons why your should give to Slavery Remembrance, here are just a few:
Show your respect and appreciation for your ancestors
Support and empower your community
Be a part of making real change happen
Be a doer, not a moaner
For your children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, cousins
Let’s do this together.
Make a Difference
You can make a difference in many ways from organising a coach to help people in your area get to our Slavery Remembrance March. Help us raise money by volunteering to sell the Slavery Remembrance Sankofa.
Buy a Slavery Remembrance gift from our gift shop. Volunteer some of your precious time with us. Share our march and our activity on your social media pages. Together, on August 21st and 23rd we can make the world remember and ensure they never forget again.
Show Your Support At These Events
To control a people you must first control what they think about themselves and how they regard their history and culture. And when your conqueror makes you ashamed of your culture and history he needs no prison walls and chains to hold you.
